Serial Mode For Mount And Blade How Do You Get A Serial Interface And Line Protocol To Be Up On A Cisco Router?

How do you get a serial interface and line protocol to be up on a cisco router? - serial mode for mount and blade

I connected two Cisco routers with serial cable and is equipped with a console cable to configure. I Configure the IP address of both routers 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0 192.168.2.1 255.255.255.0 and then go one step closed. I go to the Exec mode and run a program, Interface and all that is what I get is the standard for making a line protocol. How do I get the line protocol also play a role?

Your IP address is a number of different directions. The direction we need are:

192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0 and the other is 192.168.1.2 255.255.255.0
This is 256-2 = 254 hosts in this area.

Note that net.host.host.host Class A
Class B net.net.host.host
Class C net.net.net.host

Make sure a cable DTE side, while the other side is DCE.

Add the following command for the serial port on the router: "Encapsulation PPP"

Next, configure the clock speed on the router to the cable end connected to DCE. "Clock 64,000 'Note that the speed can be adjusted ...

The answer above is correct, but not enough to the problem which cause we observe. Opportunities there is a problem of the physical layer between two interfaces. "set debug" and you may need your support.
